1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 1:8 Scale Model in Yellow — Master-Built Replica
About this item
Yellow over black, this 1:8 scale replica of the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS was put together by a master builder — the kind of clean, deliberate workmanship serious collectors clock the moment they see it. One thing to know upfront: it's being relisted on PCARMARKET because the original buyer didn't complete the sale. Ships from Germany (78052).
The Carrera RS started life as a homologation special built for Group 4 racing, and what the full-sized car was, this replica insists on being too. Doors open. The rear engine decklid opens. Lift the front trunk panel and there's a period-correct spare wheel sitting right where the real car kept it. Inside, the window cranks actually work — raise them, lower them, the glass moves. Door side pockets hinge open to show storage behind them. None of it is ornamental. Each moving part was engineered to answer the original machine's logic, not to approximate it.
Condition is like-new. No damage, no dust, finish intact throughout. A custom display case comes with it, running approximately 2.1 feet in length, which keeps the model protected while giving it the kind of presence a shelf actually notices. At 1:8 scale it's considerably larger than typical die-cast pieces, and that size gap matters: engine bay components and interior surface textures read with a depth smaller models can't get close to delivering.
