About this vehicle

Air Cooled Classics (ACCR) out of Knoxville, Tennessee tore this 1979 Porsche 911SC down to nothing and rebuilt it as an IROC/RSR-style restomod. Black over a matching interior, the car combines widened Turbo-look bodywork with a 3.6-liter flat-six pulled from a 1998 Porsche 993S, a shortened-bellhousing G50 five-speed manual transaxle, and a chassis rebuilt top to bottom. Completed this past year. It's turned roughly 1,000 miles since.

The body starts with butt-welded steel 930 fender flares, then fiberglass IROC front and rear bumpers and a fiberglass IROC rear spoiler lid finish the look. Clear paint protection film went on during the build to keep the Black finish intact. H4 headlights drop into new buckets fitted with fresh signal lenses, and the car also gets fold-out rear side windows, a steel hood carrying a center-fill fuel cap, dual Carrera-style front-fender oil coolers, a chrome mirror, tinted glass, and black window and door trim dressed with vinyl graphics. Filling those wide arches: RSR-style Braid wheels — 9x17 up front, 11x17 at the rear — wearing new Toyo rubber in 245/45 front and 315/35 rear. The title is rebuilt, reportedly the result of a prior stolen-vehicle report.

The IROC theme carries straight through the cabin. Black period-style sport seats and black RS door panels anchor the interior, with a black headliner, black carpeting, and a rear-seat-delete layout. Dashboard trim picks up black woven-leather basketweave inlays — a detail that's easy to miss but hard to forget. A MOMO Prototipo 350mm steering wheel sits in front of Rennline pedal boards fitted with Numeric Racing pedals, a Rennline Exactshift short shifter, and coco-style floor mats. White-faced OEM gauges include a refurbished 10,000-rpm tachometer. A CD stereo, heater, and defroster are on board; air conditioning is not.

That 3.6-liter VarioRam flat-six comes dressed with Fabspeed RSR headers, an exhaust system running catalytic converters and dual outlets, a Protomotive DME tune, a Clewett Engineering serpentine-belt conversion, and a free-flow intake — seller-estimated output lands at 330 HP at the flywheel. The shortened-bellhousing G50 five-speed behind it runs a Wavetrac limited-slip differential and a Patrick Motorsports clutch kit; the clutch master cylinder, flywheel, differential bearings, and axle shafts were all replaced during the build. Up front, Elephant Racing GT suspension feeds into custom Stage 2 VonShock coilovers at both ends, Elephant Racing adjustable sway bars, an adjustable spring-plate system, rebuilt aluminum trailing arms, and a rebuilt steering rack. 930 Turbo brake calipers clamp Elephant Racing hats and turbo rotors over rebuilt hubs. Neither the engine nor the transmission is original to this car. Strip the excess weight and the whole package scales at approximately 2,300 pounds.

Sale includes a rebuilt title and two keys.
