About this vehicle

Few cars carry a pedigree quite like the 930. Porsche's turbocharged 917/30 Can-Am program fed directly into its creation, and when the 911 Turbo debuted in 1975, expectations for production sports cars shifted in a way they hadn't before. This 1988 example matters for one specific reason beyond its condition: it's the last model year the 930 shipped with the 4-speed manual. The G50 5-speed took over starting in 1989. That fact alone marks this car as a period endpoint worth your attention.

Guards Red over black is about as correct a color combination as you'll find on one of these. Wide-body stance, whale-tail rear spoiler, Fuchs forged alloy wheels — it's all there, along with lower front fog lights and black exterior trim. The seller had the car professionally paint-corrected; the left front fender and driver's door were repainted to a standard that blends well with the surrounding factory paint. Between services it's been stored in a climate-controlled hangar, and a clean CARFAX report accompanies the detailed gallery images.

Black leather upholstery, five gauges arranged horizontally across the dashboard — any air-cooled 911 enthusiast will recognize the interior layout on sight. What quietly separates this car from its naturally aspirated G-Series siblings is the boost-pressure gauge tucked into the central tachometer. The seller reports that all instrumentation and electrical accessories function correctly: air conditioning, power windows, radio, power seat controls, no warning lights.

Under the rear lid sits the matching-numbers 3.3-liter turbocharged air-cooled flat-six, factory-rated at 282 HP and 278 lb-ft of torque, paired with that final-year 4-speed manual. In October 2022, at 53,275 miles, Porsche Westlake carried out an extensive engine-out service targeting oil leaks — front and rear crankshaft seals, valve-cover gaskets, thermostat O-ring, oil-pressure switch, camshaft oil hoses, and additional seals were all addressed, along with fresh spark plugs, filters, and belts. A follow-up visit in November 2022 replaced the voltage regulator to resolve a charging and idle concern. Both original dealership invoices are on hand.

At roughly 54,110 miles, this presents as a well-maintained survivor rather than a project. Clean title is in hand, and the sale includes owner's manuals, a toolkit, and an air pump.
