About this vehicle

Guards Red over Cashmere Beige, manual gearbox, clean title. Beneath that familiar silhouette sits a thoroughly reworked M64 flat-six bored out to 3.8 liters — and the person selling it has held onto this 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Coupe for 11 years, pouring that time into a deliberate, no-shortcuts build rather than a quick flip. At 84,000 miles, it arrives in California with a long list of mechanical and cosmetic work already behind it.

The Guards Red bodywork up front wears a Getty Design front splitter, RS-style brake cooling inserts, and LED projector headlamps. Out back, an OEM RS America-style whale-tail spoiler fills the rear deck. Aero mirrors, an electric sunroof, and a rear window wiper round out the exterior trim. Fitment on the 18" BBS Japan LM wheels — sized for the narrow-body car — runs 225/40 Pirelli P Zero up front and 265/35 at the rear. The front bumper's been repainted. Stone chips from regular driving are present, and the seller's upfront about them; a professional ceramic coating has since been applied over the whole car.

The Cashmere Beige cabin reads close to original at a glance. Look closer, though. A custom MOMO steering wheel with a matching hub adapter sits at center, paired with Rennline fully adjustable pedals, a footrest, and track mats front and rear. The center armrest is custom-built with integrated storage and upholstered to match the existing interior. A Porsche Classic PCCM infotainment head unit handles audio and connectivity without looking out of place on the original dashboard, backed by genuine Porsche door and rear deck speakers. An FVD short-shift kit sharpens the throws, a Rennline battery kill switch is integrated cleanly, and the air conditioning has been fully rebuilt using 993-generation components through an upgraded Griffiths system. Wear throughout is minimal.

The engine is the car's original air-cooled M64, rebuilt and enlarged from 3.6 to 3.8 liters via an FVD Brombacher/Mahle piston and cylinder conversion kit. Forged Mahle pistons, Nikasil-coated cylinders with a 102mm bore, an 11.3:1 compression ratio, and a narrow connecting rod small-end configuration form the core of the build. Supporting work covers a 996 GT2 oil pump, FVD rocker arms and valvetrain components, ARP cylinder head studs, upgraded upper and lower valve covers, and an FVD LB2 mass-airflow conversion with revised engine management software. That engine feeds through the factory 5-speed G50 manual transaxle, now fitted with a 964 RS lightweight flywheel and clutch assembly. An OEM Porsche sport exhaust handles the soundtrack. Suspension is managed by JRZ RS-Pro double-adjustable coilovers over rebuilt factory lower control arms, with upgraded monoball mounts, fresh bushings, and replacement CV joint boots. Braking upgrades include Endless MX72 pads and Mocal stainless steel braided lines. Maintenance has been handled by Prato Motorwerks according to the seller.

Owner's manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a tire inflator, and a clean title are included in the sale.
