2000 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet in Arctic Silver Metallic
About this vehicle
Porsche's 996 generation brought something genuinely unprecedented when it landed for 1999: the 911 shed air-cooling in favor of water-cooling, a first in the car's entire history. This particular car is a 2000 Carrera Cabriolet in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black full leather interior, driven through a 6-speed manual and fitted with Porsche Stability Management (PSM). NHTSA VIN decode confirms a 3.4-liter six-cylinder under the rear lid. Factory options push the original MSRP above $90k.

Arctic Silver reads well on the droptop's shape. Among the fitted options: 18" Sport Classic two-piece modular wheels wearing colored Porsche crests, Litronic headlights with integrated washers, and polished stainless-steel dual exhaust tips. A color-coded removable hardtop comes with the car. The seller doesn't sugarcoat the cosmetics — prior paintwork covers the hood and both front fenders, there's a scrape with clear-coat flaking at the passenger-side front bumper, the headlight lenses show light surface oxidation, the tires are older, and the wheels carry accumulated brake dust with minor curb scuffing. The black power soft top is currently inoperative.

The Black full leather cabin is well-specced. Front and rear seats are supple leather; the fronts are heated, power-adjustable, and the driver's side has memory. Porsche crest-embossed headrests give it a proper period feel. The Aluminum/Chrome Package brings aluminum-faced instrument dials along with an aluminum-inlaid shifter and handbrake lever. Porsche Communication Management (PCM 1) covers navigation and cassette playback, the Digital Sound Package handles audio, and a trunk-mounted 6-disc CD changer fills out the entertainment suite. Gauges, power windows, power seats, climate control, and the cabin switchgear all check out as working; one exterior-light warning indicator is currently lit in the cluster.

Engine and transmission are the original factory units — the car remains stock mechanically. In August 2025, at roughly 38,350 miles, a marque specialist carried out a service running approximately $6k. That work covered a new water pump, thermostat, coolant housing, and serpentine belt, plus a remanufactured 120-amp alternator, an AGM battery, and an oil and filter change. Several items flagged at that visit went unaddressed: valve-cover oil seepage, worn front sway-bar end-link boots, overdue spark plugs, and a recommended brake-fluid flush. The odometer currently reads approximately 38,520 miles.

Included with the sale are a clean title, window sticker, service documentation, the matching removable hardtop, and a factory removable wind deflector.
