2001 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe in Irish Green with Wide-Body Conversion and Mezger Flat-Six
About this vehicle
Originally factory-built in Seal Grey Metallic, this 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe now carries Irish Green after a full professional respray done in conjunction with a MilesWorks wide-body conversion — work handled by an authorized shop. A MilesWorks low-profile wing sits out back. The wheel package is aftermarket 19-inch Meisterwerk Racing units wrapped in new Toyo rubber: 265/35 up front, 325/30 at the rear, mounted in August. Per the seller, the car's lived almost entirely in a garage since the bodywork was finished. The CARFAX does show an accident.

Lift the rear lid and you're looking at the Mezger engine — a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six whose architecture traces back directly to the 911 GT1 Le Mans race car, conceived by Porsche engineer Hans Mezger. Reinforced crankcase. Gear-driven intermediate shaft. Dry-sump lubrication. It shares lineage with Porsche's Le Mans machinery rather than the M96 fitted to standard 996 Carrera models of the same era, and crucially, it doesn't carry the IMS bearing vulnerabilities that followed those other water-cooled 996s around. Factory figures: 415 bhp at 6,000 rpm, 415 lb-ft of torque at 2,700 rpm.

AWD was standard on every 996-generation Turbo, and this car pairs it with the optional 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic — the standard gearbox being a 6-speed manual. Four-piston aluminum fixed calipers clamp cross-drilled steel rotors at each corner: 330 mm × 34 mm at the front, 330 mm × 28 mm at the rear. A Meisterwerk Racing exhaust with catalytic converters has been fitted, and both brake and suspension work has been carried out with receipts and invoices on file. One thing worth flagging: a spoiler warning light has been present since the factory spoiler was swapped for the aftermarket wing, though the seller states it can be coded out on request.

The cabin comes in Black full leather. Factory options on this car include the Carbon Interior Package — carbon-fiber trim across the instrument surround, center air vents, and HVAC frame — plus a carbon-and-leather three-spoke steering wheel, heated front seats, left-seat lumbar support, Porsche crest-embossed headrests, floor mats with Porsche lettering, and a six-disc remote CD changer. An Alcantara dashboard has been retrofitted. The carbon-fiber window trim needs replacement; those parts are included, as is a second Alcantara dashboard. A Carnewall roll cage is part of the deal too, currently uninstalled.

The odometer reads 82,819 miles. Title is clean. Included with the sale: owner's manuals, a toolkit, sales literature, the uninstalled Carnewall roll cage, and the replacement interior trim components.
