Black 2012 Porsche Boxster Spyder Manual — 26k Miles, Texas Car
About this vehicle
The 987-generation Boxster Spyder was built on a philosophy of removal, not addition. Porsche pulled roughly 176 lbs from the contemporary Boxster S manual — steel doors swapped for aluminum, the powered convertible mechanism replaced by a manually operated canvas hood that shed 46 lbs on its own, the rear decklid switched to aluminum — landing at an official curb weight of 2,811 lbs. The suspension was redesigned from the ground up and dropped 20 mm, pulling the center of gravity down by approximately one inch. That's what this car is.

The exterior is Black with silver Porsche stripes, and the Spyder's signature double-hump rear decklid reads exactly as it should — paired with the low-profile windshield, revised front fascia with enlarged air intakes, side intakes, a rear spoiler, and central dual exhaust outlets. Factory 19-inch Boxster Spyder wheels, unique to the model, measure 8.5×19 up front and 10×19 at the rear; they're roughly 10% lighter than the optional 19-inch wheels on the Boxster S. Freshly installed Michelin Pilot Sport rubber wraps them: 235/35R19 front, 265/35R19 rear. Colored Porsche crest center caps are on. Bi-xenon headlights and the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) — which brings a dynamic cornering light function — were factory options on this car. The seller notes slight hazing of the headlamp lenses; the rest of the exterior is described as excellent.

Black leather covers the optional Sport Seats inside, with red seatbelts and matching red cloth door pull straps — period-correct Spyder touches that land right. A three-spoke sport steering wheel faces the driver. The factory option list runs to seat heating, automatic climate control, Sound Package Plus, Bluetooth, Universal Audio Interface, and PCM with navigation. Sport Chrono Package Plus adds a dashboard-mounted analog stopwatch and selectable Sport and Sport Plus driving modes, each sharpening throttle and engine response. No rips or tears in the upholstery. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported functioning properly.

Lift the rear decklid and there's the naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six: 320 bhp at 7,200 rpm, 273 lb-ft at 4,750 rpm, driving the rear wheels through the 6-speed manual transaxle. An optional Sport Exhaust System is fitted. The car was originally delivered through Porsche Huntington in New York in August 2011, has passed through four owners, and has been in Texas since 2019. CARFAX documents dealership and independent maintenance at Porsche Huntington, Porsche Austin, and Porsche of San Antonio, where a major 40,000-mile service was completed — new spark plugs, a fresh battery, and all four Michelin Pilot Sport tires replaced. The odometer reads 26,610 miles. The seller reports excellent mechanical condition with no known issues.

A clean, clear, in-hand title accompanies the sale.
