Although the Volkswagen Type 1 ("Beetle") was a huge success, the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, introduced in 1955, was arguably even better. Known today as the T14, this car was once revered for its innovative and luxurious two-door Italian design. The original Karmann Ghia had a 1.2-liter engine with a 30-hp boost, followed by a 1.6-liter model with 60-hp. The T14 was manufactured for over 20 years, throughout which time it was offered in both coupe and convertible forms.

Despite the end of its era, the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia still holds up to this day thanks to its legendary reliability. The T14, to date, is a decades-old car, so while the condition of its outer shell looks fine, its inner components would need to undergo repairs and service for the vehicle to remain usable. Common services on the Karmann Ghia include replacement parts of the brakes, rotors, brake calipers and discs, turn signal switches, oil pumps, and fuel filters. There will be a lot of areas that need to be checked to get the best out of the sports car.

The costs for maintaining such a classical vehicle can be astronomical and would definitely take a toll on one’s wallet. Fortunately, AutohausAZ sells high-quality auto parts for your Volkswagen Karmann Ghia’s needs at the lowest prices.
