1940 Ford Deluxe Restomod Street Rod in Matador Red
About this vehicle
This 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe isn't a touched-up original — it was built ground-up on a custom-fabricated chassis, a proper restomod street rod from the frame rails out. Under the hood sits a Ford 5.0-liter crate engine, backed by a Gearstar-built AOD automatic transmission. Matador Red over tan leather, and the seller calls the interior show condition. Approximately 3,542 km since completion.

All-steel body, taken to bare metal before paint. Poppers on every door, paint-matched side steps, and custom body trim keep the exterior uncluttered — no chrome excess, nothing competing for attention. Corner hardware is 17" American Racing wheels up front and 18" at the rear, all wrapped in Falken rubber. The seller calls the finish flawless, with straight panels and zero chips; the gallery images are where you settle that question for yourself.

Inside, tan leather runs floor to ceiling and carries across the floors as well. Wood-grain details work through the dashboard, window frames, and steering wheel. FOMOCO gauges fill the cluster. A one-piece windshield opens the glasswork up considerably, and the convenience list covers power windows, power seat, power locks, and a power trunk — Vintage Air air conditioning rounds things out for summer driving.

Beneath the skin, the custom frame carries independent front suspension on AFCO coilovers, with power rack-and-pinion steering and power disc brakes. A Ford 9-inch rear end handles the output. The 5.0-liter crate engine wears Billet Specialties accessories and draws cooling from a PCR aluminum radiator; the exhaust is ceramic-coated and custom-routed. Fuel and brake lines are stainless throughout, feeding a stainless-steel fuel tank. A parts-and-wiring binder documents the build — shop invoices aren't available, but the binder transfers with the car.

Sale includes a clean title, current registration, and that build documentation binder. The car is located in Chilliwack, BC, Canada.
