Pininfarina designed the 456 GT as Ferrari's definitive front-engine grand tourer successor to the 412, pairing elegant aluminum bodywork with a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V12, 2+2 accommodations, and electronically controlled suspension. Pininfarina's role extended beyond styling — the coachbuilder fabricated the body and interior, continuing their long-standing partnership with Ferrari. This 1994 example, finished in Rosso Monza over beige Connolly leather, was originally delivered to the Japanese market and imported to the United States in September 2025. Equipped with the desirable 6-speed gated manual transaxle, it shows approximately 89k kilometers (~55k miles) on the odometer and received a full timing belt and water pump service in September 2026. It's now offered in Virginia with a clean title.
Rosso Monza suits the 456 GT's long hood, sculpted flanks, and sweeping fastback roofline especially well. Retractable headlights, integrated fog lights, a vented hood, side-mounted air extractors, body-colored mirrors, red brake calipers, and quad exhaust outlets dress the exterior. Factory 17" five-spoke alloys with Ferrari center caps are fitted with Pirelli front tires manufactured in 2023 and Continental rear tires manufactured in 2026; the fronts retain roughly 90% tread life while the rears are brand new. Paint meter readings show refinishing on the passenger-side door and the forward section of the passenger-side rear quarter panel, with the seller describing the workmanship as excellent. Inside, beige Connolly leather covers the power-adjustable front seats, individual rear seats, door panels, and center console — all offset by contrasting black trim. A leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, polished metal gated shifter, automatic climate control, power windows, and a center-mounted analog clock furnish the cabin. Veglia instrumentation occupies the sculpted binnacle, incorporating a tachometer, speedometer, and supplementary gauges for oil pressure and temperature; additional readouts for engine temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level sit in the center stack. The seller notes age-related wear on the driver's seat bolster and door panel, visible in the accompanying photographs.
Under the long hood sits the F116 V12 — Ferrari's factory designation (specifically F116B, later F116C by specification) for this 5.5-liter unit. It's an aluminum block-and-head design with dual overhead camshafts per bank, four valves per cylinder, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic 2.7 combined fuel injection and ignition management. Factory power rating stands at 436 hp (325 kW / 442 PS). Drive reaches the rear wheels through the 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Suspension is fully independent at all four corners, featuring driver-selectable electronically variable damper settings and hydraulic self-leveling at the rear; ventilated disc brakes with four-piston calipers handle stopping. The September 2026 service covered replacement of the timing belts, water pump, timing belt roller bearings, accessory drive belts, drive belt tensioner bearings, driver's side timing belt cover, and driver's side belt cover.
