The black monobloc Cerachrom ceramic bezel comes engraved with a molded tachymetric scale, and the 40mm Oystersteel case wears a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal above it all. Bracelet is an Oystersteel Oyster built from solid three-piece links, closing via an Oysterlock safety clasp that includes Rolex's Easylink 5mm comfort extension system.
The movement is Rolex Manufacture Calibre 4131, a self-winding perpetual mechanical chronograph driven by a bidirectional Perpetual rotor with a power reserve sitting at approximately 72 hours. Inside, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring works alongside Paraflex high-performance shock absorbers — and the finished watch carries Rolex's Superlative Chronometer certification. This piece comes out of Florida, and it's the current-generation Daytona in its most recognized form.
Built around motorsport demands, the Cosmograph Daytona's chronograph measures elapsed time while the tachymetric scale on the ceramic bezel handles average-speed calculation. Waterproofing is rated to 100 meters, achieved through the screw-down case back and Triplock screw-down winding crown that are central to the Oyster case architecture.
