Ford Motor Company Y-Block Engine Cutaway Display on Rolling Aluminum Stand
About this item
Ford red paint, polished pulleys, a precision-milled block sliced open to show everything inside — that's what you're dealing with. The seller states Ford Motor Company produced this Y-Block cutaway for an auto show display or educational tutorial, starting with an experimental test engine once it had finished its testing program. FOMOCO's own machinists did the precision milling that created the cutaway presentation visible here.
What's genuinely striking is how much it still looks like a running engine. Polished valve cover, air cleaner assembly, pulleys, brackets — all intact, all finished. The exposed sections cut away any guesswork about internal construction, yet at a glance it reads as a complete, recognizable Y-Block. Then you catch exactly what's been opened up, and why, and that's where it gets interesting.
A substantial aluminum stand with casters handles the mounting, so repositioning isn't a chore. Whether it ends up in a private garage, a dealership floor, or a dedicated automotive collection, the thing pulls two duties at once: it stops people in their tracks visually and tells them something real about how the Y-Block was put together. Go through every photograph carefully for full condition and component details.
