Illuminated German Autobahn Highway Signs — Pair from Malibu, CA
About this item
A matched pair of illuminated German Autobahn traffic signs, each housed in brushed aluminum, offered out of Malibu, California. One — the "End of All Restrictions" sign — runs 3 feet in diameter. The other, the Autobahn entrance sign, comes in at 2 feet in diameter. Both are fully illuminated, which puts them in a different category altogether from the flat, unlit reproductions that crowd most memorabilia shelves.
Within Germany's road signage system, these two carry genuine weight. The "End of All Restrictions" sign marks the exact point where applicable route-related restrictions — speed and passing limitations among them — cease to apply under the governing rules of the road. The entrance sign signals where Autobahn regulations begin. That before-and-after logic gives the pair a coherence that no single-sign display can replicate, and their connection to the broader tradition of German automotive engineering — Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen all sharing the same road network — makes them a natural fit for any garage or showroom built around those marques.
Substantial in size, genuinely illuminated, brushed aluminum construction. These aren't novelty items. Collectors of automobilia and European road signage will know exactly what they're looking at the moment they see them — a private garage, a dedicated display wall, a showroom corner, any of those settings suits this pair.
