Shamrock Oil Porcelain Double-Sided Sign – Vintage Petroleum Advertising
About this item
What we have here is a large-format Shamrock Oil porcelain sign — the kind that stops you cold. Green shamrock emblem, bold white "SHAMROCK" lettering, white field, red perimeter border. That combination doesn't need introduction to anyone who's spent time around vintage petroleum advertising. Oval in shape, it measures approximately 60 inches wide by 41.5 inches tall.
Mounting tabs and hardware points run around the perimeter, so it'll work suspended or flat against a wall. The porcelain surface has accumulated cosmetic wear over the years — scratches, marks, the usual evidence of a long working life — yet the central graphics hold up. The shamrock reads clearly from a distance, which is really the point. Where exactly this sign spent its years, the seller doesn't know.
It's coming out of Emory, Texas. A piece this size fits naturally in a garage, a showroom, or a petroliana collection that takes itself seriously. Buyers should go through every photograph carefully — surface condition, edge integrity, mounting tab detail, anything else visible — before committing. Shipping, shipping insurance, handling, tariffs, duties, customs, transactional fees, and any miscellaneous fees fall to the buyer. All information here originates with the seller; PCARMARKET does not assume liability for inaccuracies or for loss or damage occurring in transit.
