  • The continuously variable transmission (CVT) in your Subaru provides a seamless transition of power from the engine to the wheels and an endless number of gear ratios to provide on demand power when needed with the highest fuel economy possible.
  • Servicing your Subaru’s CVT requires a very specific transmission fluid to properly lubricate and condition the transmission internal components, and needs to be inspected and topped off every 30,000 miles, and drained and refilled every 100,000 miles.
  • The Subaru SOA427V1660 CVTF II automatic transmission fluid (ATF) is the only ATF used by Subaru in its CVTs and the only ATF used by Subaru dealership service centers.
  • The Subaru SOA427V1660 CVTF II ATF comes in a one quart bottle and you will need four to five bottles to properly drain and refill the CVTs on the 2010-2017 Subaru Crosstrek, XV Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, and Outback models.
