  • A long way from the standard gas pressurized hatch struts that allow the hatch to fall on your head, the many Porsche models use electronic rear hatch struts to open and close the rear hatch from the remote or switch inside of the vehicle. A small but powerful motor inside the lift support turns a planetary gear on a threaded shaft that extends and contracts the inner strut to open and close the rear hatch.
  • If the motor stops working or comes out of line with the gear or shaft, the support must be replaced for the hatch to open and close.
  • This rear hatch lift support from Tuff Support is a direct replacement for the original electronic rear hatch lift supports found on the 2010-2016 Porsche Panamera models.
