The oil level sender in your Volvo C70, located at the bottom of the oil pan, reads oil level in the oil pan, and sends that reading to your Volvo’s on-board computer where it displays the reading on the instrument panel. Contaminants in the engine oil can eat at the outer coating of the oil level sender causing it to leak oil through the electrical connector and eventually causing the oil level sender to not properly sense the oil level in your Volvo. The 31368695 Genuine Volvo oil level sender is the original equipment oil level sender for your 1998-2013 C70 and the recommended replacement oil level sensor for your Volvo. Easily replaceable while changing your oil by removing the (3) bolts holding in the oil pan and installing a new one before filling the engine with oil.
