About this vehicle

Chevrolet launched the first-generation Camaro for 1967 squarely to counter the Ford Mustang, and it carved out its own identity fast. This 1968 example went through a frame-off restoration completed roughly eight years ago, coming out the other side as a restomod anchored by a 350ci Chevrolet Performance crate engine, a Muncie 4-speed manual, and a healthy complement of modern hardware. It's offered from Florida with a clean title.

The 1968 model year wasn't a minor refresh. Federally mandated side marker lights appeared front and rear, door vent windows disappeared in favor of larger single-pane glass and the Astro Ventilation system, and non-RS cars got oval front running lights instead of the earlier treatment. This one's been refinished in white with an orange accent stripe. The aggressive stance rides on BF Goodrich tires fitted at the same time as the engine install — roughly 700 miles ago, by the seller's account.

Red vinyl wraps the cabin, which the seller says keeps its original layout with one change: a tachometer added to the mix. Vintage Air climate control has been fitted and is described as ice cold. Driver inputs run through a red three-spoke steering wheel and a polished shift knob, and manual roll-up windows, red carpets, and matching floor mats fill out the rest of the interior.

Pop the hood and the 350ci Chevrolet Performance crate engine carries a manufacturer rating of 385 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque, fed by a Street Avenger carburetor up top. A serpentine belt-drive system manages accessories; cooling falls to an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans behind it. Power routes through the Muncie 4-speed into a Moser 12-bolt rear differential. Down below, a Unifit frame carries BMR adjustable suspension, power steering handles the front end, and Wilwood disc brakes cover all four corners.

A clean title transfers with the sale.
