Glyco Connecting Rod Bearing Set

The connecting rods in your engine take the rotation of the crankshaft and transmit it to your pistons causing them to move up and down within the cylinders. To make this motion possible you need a bearing surface where the connection rods “attach” to the crankshaft and those are the connecting rod bearings, most often sold in complete sets. Over time these bearings wear and will need replacing, using the OE quality Glyco connecting rod bearing set ensures the bearings are correctly sized with any oiling holes or slots that your engine design requires. Please note that rod bearing set replacement may be more involved than some DIYers may want to attempt and professional installation is highly recommended. As such a critical part, these must work the first time you fir the engine back up or major damage can result.

Glyco Crankshaft Main Bearing Set

The crankshaft is the driving force behind an engine driven by the pistons, it runs the belt drive system and the drivetrain transmission input. Everything operates from the crankshaft rotation and that rotation is riding on bearing surfaces, commonly referred to as crankshaft main bearings which are usually sold in sets. After many miles the main bearing surfaces can become scored or pitted and replacement is the repair indicated. A new OE specification Glyco crankshaft main bearing set is the best solution when this repair is needed. These bearings will be exactly sized for your specific model and engine, having all of the proper oiling features as your originals. If your crankshaft requires regrinding to repair issues please note that you will need to see if oversized crankshaft main bearing sets as well as connecting rod bearing sets are available. This repair may be more involved than some DIYers may want to attempt and professional installation is highly recommended.

Glyco Wrist Pin Bushing

Where the connecting rod mounts the actual piston assembly there needs to be the ability to rotate as the piston reaches the top and bottom of its stroke. This rotation is accomplished with the use of wrist pins and wrist pin bushings. Whenever you are repairing pistons or the piston rings you may want to replace the wrist pin bushings while you have the combustion chambers open and have access to the connecting rods and pistons. New Glyco wrist pin bushings are an exact OE fit which makes this repair quick and cost effective. Always check for the Glyco brand when making camshaft, crankshaft, piston and associated part repairs.
